Fuego Artificial

Fuego Artificial

Argentinian throwback enthusiasts Las Ligas Menores are canny students of '90s indie rock who've nonetheless managed to craft their own uniquely sharp-but-sugary style. Even noise-saturated Fuego Artificial tunes like "Contando Lunas" feature the kind of singalong choruses that any high-gloss pop group would envy, balancing crunchy guitar riffs and contagious vocal hooks with ease. But the band are at their best when they're racing along at high speed, whether that means the gleeful punk gallop of "El Galpón" or the Stereolab-esque mix of hypnotic rhythm and Brill Building melody that powers "Segunda Parte".
