Jencarlos Canela has an actor's sturdy good looks, and sure enough, the Miami-born Cuban got his start in telenovelas. Music isn't his vanity project, though. Canela released a ballad-heavy debut in 2009, and now he sounds equally at home on ska-influenced pop, reggaetón-lite and Pitbull-assisted club bangers. That versatility makes him a welcome throwback—the kind of old-school entertainer whose charm and talent make anything seem possible.
