Toni Romiti is an athlete-turned-singer who parlayed viral fame into pop stardom in the 2010s. ∙ A star basketball player, Romiti earned an athletic scholarship to attend university, but left school (and the sport) in 2014 to pursue music after her song “Nothin on Me” blew up online. ∙ Her 2015 EP Lemonade featured fellow Chicago artist Tink, and 2016’s follow-up, Just Like You, contained another viral hit, “Imma Dog Too.” ∙ She dropped her major label debut, Tomboy in 2018. ∙ Alongside rapper Ty Dolla $ign, she guested on DJ Carisma’s 2020 single “That’s Facts.”
