About Night Ranger
Night Ranger is a hard rock band from San Francisco known for both tender ballads and aggressive, fist-pumping anthems, including their biggest hit, 1984’s “Sister Christian.” ∙ “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me,” Night Ranger’s riff-heavy 1982 debut single, was a hit on the Pop and Rock charts. ∙ Their power ballad “Sister Christian” hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and VH1 later named it one of the 100 Greatest Songs of the 1980s. ∙ The band’s synth-driven theme song for the 1987 film The Secret of My Success was nominated for a Best Original Song Golden Globe Award. ∙ Frontman Jack Blades was also in the early-’90s hard-rock supergroup Damn Yankees, which featured Styx’s Tommy Shaw and rocker Ted Nugent.
