Eagles, Hotel California John Hiatt, John Hiatt: Greatest Hits - The A&M Years (1987-1994) Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Southern Accents Remastered These three artists, along with Ray Lamontagne have always been an influence on me because they combined country and rock elements to create their sound. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Waiting” This song, found on my debut solo album will always be special to me because I wrote it sitting at my mothers' bedside as she was dying. Just seeing the title of the song brings me right back to that specific moment in my life.
