Ultravox's musical adventures began with singer John Foxx's compact ‘70s New Wave sound. They soon blossomed outward—thanks to the arrival of New Romantic hero Midge Ure—expanding into the heroic post-punk of “One Small Day” and then settling into their classic sound, romantic electro-pop with loud guitars, as exemplified by the billowing “Reap the Wild Wind”.
