Top Songs of 2025: New Zealand

Apple Music

Apple Music’s end-of-year charts are based on plays between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025. ROSÉ may be best known for being a K-pop star, but she was born in Auckland—and we couldn’t be more excited that Aotearoa New Zealand audiences listened to her Bruno Mars collab “APT.” more than any other song in 2025. The BLACKPINK singer and solo artist was far from the only K-pop name to make a mark on the year, though, with seven tracks from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack—including favorites by HUNTR/X and Saja Boys—hitting the top songs list this year. Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Gracie Abrams proved that pop continued to reign over the year, but there was still plenty of room left for provocative hip-hop (Kendrick Lamar, Doechii, Drake), country earworms (Shaboozey, Luke Combs), and long-beloved rock classics (Fleetwood Mac, Toto, Radiohead). Australian artist CYRIL flew the local flag with three tracks appearing throughout the playlist, while classics by AC/DC, Vance Joy and Gotye made repeat appearances on home turf, proving that we just can’t—and shouldn’t—get enough of a good thing.
