“My life has been one constant playlist of trials, tribulations, and triumphs. In 2005, when Katrina swept through New Orleans, my family was left with nothing. Then, a month later, I was diagnosed with cancer. After undergoing difficult treatment, my son and I found ourselves homeless. These experiences led me to found a non-profit dedicated to assisting homeless women veterans. Today, we've provided over 10,000 days of transitional housing to those in need.
