The New Doom

It all goes back to Black Sabbath, of course, but doom metal still finds ways to get ever slower, more mystical, and more supremely bummed-out as time drags on—just like these songs do. Whether droning or death-marching, doomsters definitely like it long. Most bands here come from the U.S., with a few from the U.K., Sweden, or elsewhere. But they all worship at the altar of the almighty riff.
