Meat Puppets emerged from the squall of early ‘80s hardcore. Led by brothers Cris and Curt Kirkwood, the Arizona-bred band has always embraced a trend-repellent blend of punk, country, and psychedelia. Between bursts of majestically sludgy guitar and hallucinatory lyrics, moments of tumult give way to wistful guitars and sunbaked calm.
