The Diwali Riddim

Much like the Festival of Lights itself, Steven "Lenky" Marsden's "Diwali" shone brightly over the other top sounds of 2002, serving as the foundation for hit records and mixtape freestyles. Sean Paul took the riddim international with "Get Busy"; Elephant Man, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Wayne Wonder, and T.O.K. have all used it since. So did Rihanna on her breakout single "Pon De Replay."
