As heard on the grand funk of "Where Are All My Friends," Teddy Pendergrass first broke out as the singing drummer of Philly soul stars The Blue Notes. On his solo debut, he dipped into disco with "The More I Get, the More I Want" and "I Don't Love You Anymore," and he adapted to the drum-machine-driven '80s on bubbly groovers like "Joy" and "Love 4/2." And as a bona fide superstar, he dueted with Stephanie Mills of The Wiz fame on "Two Hearts."
