Steve Reich Chamber

Early in his career Reich had to assemble and train his own group, making it all the more impressive that his eventual compositions have drawn such an impressive flock of chamber ensembles. Kronos Quartet's premiere of “Triple Quartet” showed Reich entering the new century with verve and harmonic complexity; Eighth Blackbird commissioned the surging, lyrical “Double Sextet,” which won a Pulitzer.
