Songwriter Hank Cochran penned some of country's most enduring hits for artists ranging from Patsy Cline and Eddy Arnold to George Strait. The Mississippi native scored his first No. 1 with Harlan Howard on “I Fall to Pieces,” for Cline, and would soon amass an exceptional body of emotive country-pop tunes over the next two decades. He was also instrumental in launching Willie Nelson's career as a songwriter.
