Return of the Dembow

In recent years, many Latin artists have abandoned the dembow rhythm, upon which reggaetón was built, in favor of tropical or EDM-styled arrangements. However, the sound is enjoying a revival among veteran reggaetóneros like Don Omar, while a host of newer artists, including Farruko and J. Balvin, have launched their careers with singles built upon the rock-solid rhythm of dembow.
