Reggae By Rockers

Once rock artists got wind of the sounds coming out of Jamaica, they had a whole new set of rhythms to incorporate. Some rockers like Eric Clapton and Blondie had worldwide success with covers of Jamaican hits, others like Paul Simon and Elvis Costello worked that beat into their own songwriting. And The Clash, The Police and No Doubt all made reggae a crucial part of their trademark styles.
