If he were merely a label owner, Peter Rehberg would still be one of the most important figures in modern experimental electronic music. He runs the record label Editions Mego, which has released crucial works by Christian Fennesz and Kevin Drumm. But Rehberg's work as producer and sound artist has been just as essential. His pioneering late ‘90s and early ‘00s recordings as Pita find him sculpting digital noise into otherworldly soundscapes. Rehberg also busies himself as a member of Fenn O'Berg with Fennesz and Jim O'Rourke and dark ambient duo KTL with SunnO)))'s Stephen O'Malley.
