Editors’ Notes Sweet harmonies and a strong sense of protest made perfect bedfellows with this stirring '60s folk trio. The political message and social commentary behind “This Land Is Your Land” and “If I Had a Hammer” went down easily, thanks to vigorously strummed acoustic guitars and the vital vocal interplay of Mary Travers, Paul Stookey, and Peter Yarrow. They smoothed out the edges but highlighted the poetry of Dylan's “Blowin' In the Wind” and “Don't Think Twice, It's Alright,” while not an eye was left dry after the nostalgic melancholy of the fable-like “Puff, the Magic Dragon.”
