Editors’ Notes Peggy Lee made her radio debut when she was just 14. After a spell with regional bands, she got her big break in 1941 when she was discovered by Benny Goodman. Lee scored several hits with Goodman's band in the early ‘40s, but by 1945 she was a solo artist. The eclectic singer explored Latin sounds, blues, C&W, and whatever else tickled her fancy, earning hit singles all the way into the late ‘60s.
