Brazilian duo Paulo Tatit and Sandra Peres have been making gentle pop for children of all ages (grown-up ones included) since 1994. As Palavra Cantada, their bright, harmony-soaked songs, featuring calming lullaby-like melodies, sugary strums of ukulele and infectious clap-along grooves, have earned them legions of fans spanning multiple generations. Their songs mostly focus on fun, but occasionally there's an important message to be found amid the sweet sonics: “Criança Não Trabalha” is a rallying cry against child labour, delivered with the pair's trademark imagination and whimsy.
