Formed in Nashville in the late ‘00s, country-pop group Old Dominion have a not-so-secret weapon behind their hit-making formula: a core of veteran songwriters, led by Matt Ramsey. The band's bona fides include writing credits on tunes for Kelsea Ballerini and Blake Shelton. It was only a matter of time before Old Dominion put out their own songs, full of catchy melodies, flashes of rock ‘n' roll, and just a touch of twang. You can clap along to the breezy, pumped-up AM gold of “Make It Sweet,” and the booming chorus of “Wrong Turns” is tailor-made for arenas. And “Snapback” casts a light on their pop side with an ‘80s synth vibe.
