Miles Davis with the Second Great Quintet
Apple Music

When Miles Davis reemerged in 1964 with a new band of top players, his place in jazz history was sealed. The Second Great Quintet would prove amongst the most influential groups in jazz fusion, setting the bar for other players for years to come. The all-star lineup included Wayne Shorter on tenor sax, Herbie Hancock on piano, Ron Carter on bass, and Tony Williams on drums.
