Since the early '90s, Matt Nathanson has been fine-tuning his 12-string guitar chops and slightly worn rasp in a mission to translate love into every color. The singer/songwriter's romantic melodies have found their way into plenty of TV shows and films, and for good reason: Smooth, falsetto-touched confessionals like "Come On Get Higher" and cheeky acoustic rockers like "Laid" come stripped of pretense and full of slow-building drama. Over the years, he's found a few new outlets in sweeping country balladry with duo Sugarland (“Run”) and even in a little hip-hop ("Headphones").
