Editors’ Notes Love and Rockets formed in '85 when Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins, all formerly of Bauhaus, reunited with the goal of making some seriously catchy album-oriented rock. Keeping one foot planted in their post-punk past, the group signaled their new direction with a cover of a psychedelic soul classic by The Temptations. The trio continued in this vein for the next four years, and enjoyed a crossover smash with their self-titled fourth album, after which they continued to mix things up, swapping styles (and labels) until disbanding in '99.
