Though Lee Ann Womack's biggest hits came in the first few years of her career, she only got more interesting as she went along. Circa 2008, she was pushing beyond mainstream country music toward a kind of quirky Americana on tracks like “The Bees,” and her 2014 cover of Julie Miller's moody "Don't Listen To the Wind" showed she had a way with darker, more atmospheric tunes.
