Johnny Cash: The '60s

Johnny Cash transitioned from the rockabilly and folk of his Sun Records sides in the 1950s to more socially conscious material for Columbia in the 1960s. The decade finds Cash championing songwriters like Bob Dylan and Tim Hardin while finding a worthy creative (and personal) companion in his new wife, June Carter. Cash also stays true to his country roots with covers of several traditional numbers.
