Jean-Louis Aubert Essentials

Jean-Louis Aubert launched his solo career in 1986 following a successful decade fronting Téléphone, the aggressive French rock quartet he co-founded. With the spleen out of his system, Aubert refashioned himself as a more traditional singer/songwriter, while leaving room for the occasional detour, like 1997's style-switching album Stockholm. The smoky-voiced singer reunited with Téléphone in 2015, the same year he released an album of songs set to the poetry of Michel Houellebecq.
