Jazz Fusion: Smooth Rock

As soon as the creative juices of the fusion movement started flowing during the ‘60s, jazz artists began gravitating toward rock. Incorporating the grittier textures of rock's electric guitars and epic drum kits into the jazz, funk, and R&B sounds already commingling within the scene, artists took their listeners' senses to the limit.
