Editors’ Notes In 1993, the duo Articolo 31, fronted by Alessandro “J-AX” Aleotti, released one of the first Italian hip-hop albums. Following the group's split, J-Ax thrived as a solo star, releasing five albums since 2006. Restlessly bouncing from the guitar-driven bombast of Rap n' Roll to the electronic house music of Deca Dance, J-AX has continued to toy with new ways to present his personal, idiosyncratic lyrics. And he's remained relevant well into his 40s by speaking with honesty and humour about aging and self-esteem.
