Editors’ Notes No one would dare argue against the assertion that Ennio Morricone's film scores cast an immeasurable shadow on the music of cinema (and beyond). The ethereal horror of his synth-laced music for The Thing can be heard in Badalamenti's iconic theme from Twin Peaks and Goblin's dread-inducing Suspiria, while Morricone's spacious, adventurous Western themes have certainly infiltrated Scott Walker (“The Seventh Seal”) and Labradford (“S”).
