Inspired by Bossa Nova

From its birth in the late '50s, bossa nova has fascinated artists around the world. In the '60s, everyone from Dusty Springfield to soundtrack composer Francis Lai was bewitched by bossa's acoustic guitars, nimble percussion, and featherweight vocal style. Since then, acts as varied as Everything But The Girl, Cibo Matto, and The Pharcyde (via producer J. Dilla) have fallen under its spell.
