Hombres G Essentials

Hombres G are an upbeat Spanish response to American music. They took their name from a movie poster (for the film G-Men) and have taken their musical cues from the twitch and jive of ‘50s rock ‘n' roll, as heard in their 1988 single “Sueltate el Pelo.” They often throw in ska offbeats to further liven things up, as in their hit "Devuélveme a Mi Chica” and the joyful Latin brass of “Visite Nuestro Bar.” Their principal stock-in-trade is mature, melodious rock, from the optimistic New Wave of “Lo Noto” to breathy ballads like “Temblando.”
