Jack White's career started in Detroit Rock City, an apt launchpad for one of modern rock's most versatile guitar slingers and producers. But he playfully traverses geographical and musical borders: He produced Wanda Jackson's Memphis-indebted rockabilly (“Thunder On the Mountain”), plays bass on Beck's California sunshine-drenched alt-pop (“Go It Alone”), and duets with Alicia Keys on cosmopolitan James Bond theme “Another Way to Die.”
