GNR Deep Cuts

This evergreen band have been the defining sound of Portuguese rock for decades, and they continue to unearth new wrinkles in their tried-and-true sound. “Hardcore (1º Escalão)” from GNR's 1982 debut did jittery New Wave, while wiggling dance beats seep into the surging drama of 2010's “Metropolitana.” A skittering tropical beat adds a dash of sensuousness to the synths of 1985's “Dunas.”
