Fleetwood Mac: The Early Years
Apple Music
Fleetwood Mac's cultural reappraisal rarely examines their pioneering early work. Founded by former John Mayall sideman Peter Green in 1967, Fleetwood Mac brought flair to British blues thanks to Green's guitar wizardry, which saw The Beatles attempt to sign them to Apple Records. You might argue success came too fast: in 1970, the LSD-addled Green had to quit the band, heralding their second era, which saw the addition of American stars-to-be Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining the lineup a few years later.
