Family Tree: The Doors

After recording some of the most adventurous music of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, members of The Doors went on to idiosyncratic solo careers. Drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robbie Krieger both embraced fusion jazz. Keyboardist Ray Manzarek played with disparate artists like Sly Stone and “Weird Al” Yankovic, and recorded albums with beat poets, punks, post-punks, jazz artists, and more.
