Apple Music

F-Minus were notable for dueling male/female vocals and a commitment to purist hardcore motifs like super-short songs, sparse arrangements, deceptively witty lyrics, big guitars, and pissed-off youthful aggression. Formed in 1995 in Huntington Beach, California, the group recorded for killer punk labels like Hellcat and Alternative Tentacles, worked with legendary producer Steve Albini, and dropped now-classic underground punk albums such as 2001's Suburban Blight, which recalled old-school American bands like Negative Approach. After several lineup changes, F-Minus disbanded in '04.
