Ernie Zakri first came into the spotlight when she joined national competition Bintang RTM 2009. By wowing the judges with her soaring, dulcet tones, she became its youngest winner. Zakri’s powerful voice and sense of drama helped her win another reality-singing competition in 2017, Duo Star, with partner Syamel. A hit duet followed, “Aku Cinta”, that earned them Best Vocals at the 32nd Anugerah Juara Lagu.
