Featuring intentionally offensive lyrics and song titles (“Kill Your Mother/Rape Your Dog”) since their debut in the early ‘90s, Maryland-born tech death metal/grindcore group Dying Fetus didn't come here to make friends. What they are here to do, however, is to bust skulls with their jackhammer blast beats (“Fixated on Devastation”), incredibly heavy riffs (“Your Treachery Will Die with You”), and their Satanic howls (“One Shot, One Kill”). Sole original member John Gallagher takes no prisoners with his prog-influenced shredding, as heard in tracks like “From Womb to Waste.”
