Doomriders Essentials

Founded in 2004 by guitarist/vocalist Nate Newton of Converge and Old Man Gloom, Doomriders have left a distinct imprint of their own, churning out brutal, thundering sludge metal that carries all the rapid-fire aggression of hardcore. Whether they're unleashing scabrous garage-punk howls ("Black Thunder"), ruthless metal stampedes ("Bear Witness") or agonised post-hardcore flails ("Grand Blood"), Doomriders always seem to be teetering on the edge of total sonic implosion.
