Editors’ Notes Deuter may have cut his teeth in the German rock world as an experimental artist in the late '60s, but it was the next two decades that saw him reflect inwards, crafting innovative, emotional new age music that still resonates today. The multi-instrumentalist's work is based around humanity's connection with nature, blending acoustic and electronic elements with organic sounds. From his pioneering Krautrock-styled first two albums (D and Aum) to his increasingly spiritual later work (such as 1981's Silence is the Answer), his music has been both fascinating and peaceful.
