Formed in the south of England in 1992, Delirious? rose to prominence under the name Cutting Edge. Core members Tim Jupp and Martin Smith polished the band's material in a local studio, before a car accident and illness in 1995 caused Smith to re-evaluate. After he renamed the group Delirious?, the band's early singles gained mainstream success on the UK charts, and they earned supporting slots for rock giants Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. The band then concentrated fully on the praise market, and though they broke up in 2009, their striking pop-rock praise songs remain modern worship classics.
