Christian Metal: The '90s

Following the path laid by white metal bands like Stryper, Bloodgood, and Saint in the '80s, Christian metal assumed its rightful place as its own unique genre in the '90s. Spurred on by labels that catered to the scene, like Nuclear Blast, Tooth & Nail, and Facedown Records, popularity soared as did acceptance from retailers to bring the music of these once-outsider artists to the fans.
