Celebrating to Son Jarocho

When you're digging into the roots of Mexican music, traditional styles don't come much more old-school than the syncopated strains of Son Jarocho, which first emerged in Veracruz back in the 18th century. But even the current crop of artists playing the time-honored sound sticks pretty close to the original stripped-down, all-acoustic template—if they want to do it right.
