For a label that's been releasing music by electronic artists like Aphex Twin and Juan Atkins since 1984, R&S has had an unusual path to long-term success. The Belgian label, named after founders Renaat Vandepapeliere and Sabine Maes, started to gain more attention after returning in 2009 from almost a decade-long hiatus with acclaimed singles from James Blake, Lone, and Alex Smoke.
