Founded by James Lavelle and Tim Goldsworthy, Mo' Wax became synonymous with the trip-hop sound of the mid-'90s. Pioneering releases by DJ Krush, Money Mark, and Andrea Parker melded together jazz-tinged beats with off-kilter atmospherics, while on the hip-hop tip DJ Shadow and Divine Styler prospered in the creative freedom the outlet offered.
