Best of John Hughes Soundtracks

The late writer/director John Hughes had a knack for knowing just the right song to use in a scene. In the mid '80s, each of his classic high school films—from 1984's Sixteen Candles to 1987's Some Kind of Wonderful—had its own sound. In particular, the soundtrack of 1986's Pretty In Pink was like a single-disc introduction to the UK indie scene for American teens.
