Best of Bay Area Classic Rock

The Bay Area was a musical melting pot in the mid '60s. The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and other greats mixed blues, soul, garage rock, and country to create the culture-shifting psychedelic scene in San Francisco. Sly Stone was a big influence as a producer and performer, and the cosmic country rock of New Riders of the Purple Sage and the proto-punk of The Flamin' Groovies inspired many.
