After the 21st century kicked off with the Big Bang of neo-bluegrass that was the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, possibilities blew wide open. Consequently, there was room in the '00s bluegrass scene for everyone from boundary-pushing shape-shifters like Nickel Creek and Crooked Still to trad-minded torch-bearers like Michael Cleveland and The Del McCoury band.
