NOVA WAV are Brittany “Chi” Coney and Denisia “Blu June” Andrews, a Florida-raised production and songwriting duo that’s become one of hip-hop and R&B’s most in-demand. After joining forces in 2011, they got their first real break the next year, co-writing Rihanna’s “Loveeeeeee Song.” Since then, they’ve become bona fide hitmakers, racking up credits on songs with THE CARTERS, Kehlani, Teyana Taylor, and Beyoncé, whose 2022 smash “CUFF IT” garnered them a Grammy. “As producers and songwriters, we would like to see more production and executive production opportunities for women,” they tell Apple Music. “Traditionally, men are given the role of leadership without much resistance. We’ve worked extremely hard to help break down these barriers.”
